JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Instead of decrying the high cost of gasoline, consumers need to
investigate the various options currently available to reduce gas
consumption or eliminate it altogether. This is critical not only
in the short-term but also for the future, reports Cheapest in
Florida. The traffic school is the state’s newest and one of its
least expensive, offering a comedy course at about half the cost
of other online traffic schools.
According to company officials, viable solutions to high gas
prices run the gamut from making adjustments in driving patterns
and techniques to a more radical solution that involves securing
a new vehicle that is powered by alternative fuels.
The officials stress that those who desire to keep their
current vehicles can experience significant savings in gas
consumption by driving at reduced speeds. Car engines operate most
efficiently at speeds under 60 miles per hour. Studies show that
reducing speed from 70 to 60 miles per hour would result in a two
to three percent energy savings. Larger reductions in speed could
save 10 percent or more.
Most importantly, Cheapest in Florida officials stress, driving
at slower speeds has been shown to greatly reduce death and accident
rates. Those who prefer a long-term approach and wish to avoid the
use of gasoline to fuel their cars, officials noted, could switch
to a vehicle that is environmentally and energy friendly and efficient
and uses no gas nor omits any emissions. Such a vehicle is the 2008
Honda FCX fuel cell car manufactured by Honda Motors, a leader in zero
emission hydrogen fuel technology.
Honda’s FCX, they point out, is powered from the electricity it
generates when oxygen and hydrogen are combined in a stacked fuel
cell. The car can travel approximately 270 miles without refueling.
Cheapest in Florida’s online traffic school course is a DHSMV-approved,
four-hour Basic Driver Improvement Course (BDI)/ Traffic Collision
Avoidance Course (TCAC) which removes traffic points from the Florida
driving record and results in an insurance reduction in certain instances.
Or, when traffic school is ordered by a judge, it allows people to fulfill
their traffic school obligation online. The company can be reached by
